About me

About me

I graduated from the Ukrainian National Academy of Art, specialising in Architecture (1982–1988, Kiev).

Since arriving in London in 1993, I have developed a diverse career, with one constant focus – architectural drawing and watercolour painting. I am an Urban Sketcher and architectural illustrator, an active member of the Urban Sketchers global community, and one of the leaders of Urban Sketchers London.

I am deeply passionate about drawing from life, on location. This approach has shaped my work since my early studies at Kiev’s Art School and throughout six years of architectural training at the Ukrainian Art Academy. I work with traditional watercolour techniques, combined with ink drawing.

My work was featured in the London Urban Sketchers book, published to mark the group’s 10th anniversary.

Raf Club

In September 2025 I was approached by the RAF Club in London to create their traditional Annual Christmas Card. I am very proud of this achievement.

Greenwich holds a special place in my work. I have been painting and drawing in the area since 2016, when I lived there, and I continue to return frequently. I sketch across many parts of London, but Greenwich remains my favourite.

Streets of Greenwich

In 2026, I completed my book Streets of Greenwich, a collection celebrating the elegance and character of the area’s architecture — from well-known historic landmarks to hidden, lesser-known buildings. The book combines visual storytelling with personal reflections from my walks, alongside insights into what inspired each painting and a short architectural guide to the styles of the buildings.
